Follow the prompts and your myGov account will be up and running in no time! Once users have a myGov account set up all that is left to do is follow the prompts to login

Accessing Centrelink on your phone

Don’t worry. It’s not as daunting as you think! If you would like to access Centrelink on your phone, you will need to download the myGov app. Once downloaded, simply log in using your username and password. If you have already linked your Centrelink account through myGov you will be able to access the account straight away. If not, you can link a Centrelink account to a myGov account in a few simples steps: 

  1. Login to myGov;
  2. Select the new service you would like to link (e.g. Centrelink);
  3. If you already have an online account, you will be asked to provide your username and password. If you do not have an online account, you will be prompted to answer a series of questions specific to you. Alternatively, if you have a linking code you may be asked to provide it.

  • Head to your local Centrelink office. Monday to Friday 8:30 – 4:30.
