Jacaranda Finance is delighted to announce that Daniel Wessels has again taken home the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Finance!
Daniel was named the 2024 winner at the Business News Australia Young Entrepreneur Awards night dinner on Friday, September 20, having previously won in 2023 and 2022.
However, he quickly pointed out that this is a victory for all of our Jacaranda team and is a testament to the hard work and dedication everyone puts in every day to make our customers' lives easier.
“FY24 was an outstanding year for Jacaranda Finance,” he said.
“Throughout this year, we have been on a mission to become a household name, recognised for providing accessible credit to those who don't fit the mould of the mainstream economy.
“We've made borrowing more equitable and accessible by moving past legacy underwriting systems with technology that more accurately assesses applicant risk.
“This approach enables us to provide fair, responsible, and inclusive financial solutions to customers often overlooked by mainstream lenders.
“As we approach our 10th birthday at the end of 2024, we will continue doing everything we can to be the #1 lender of choice for people ignored by the banks.”
Other highlights for Jacaranda throughout the past 12 months include:

- Implementing Comprehensive Credit Reporting (CCR), allowing someone's positive credit behaviour to be shared with credit bureaus, potentially helping to strengthen their credit score with timely repayments.
- Allowing customers and non-customers alike to check their credit scores online or in our Better Credit app.
- Creating a robust financial education program, Finance Fundamentals, helping everyday Australians understand their credit and achieve better financial futures.
