As a leading alternative lender, Jacaranda Finance has established a key stake in the Australian consumer fintech market. Through utilising bespoke purpose-built in-house technology, Jacaranda is disrupting the traditional finance sector to create a seamless and trustworthy business-to-consumer connection with consumers that have been neglected by traditional financiers.

The Award:
The monetary grant has a total value of $10,000 AUD. This value is deposited as a single lump payment to the chosen winner on confirmation of winner's details.
Availability:
The Jacaranda Finance Scholarship for Entrepreneurs is open to all eligible students currently enrolled in an Australian University or TAFE Course. One monetary grant is offered on an annual basis to one eligible student, with applications open until 11:59pm on March 31st, 2022.
Field of Study:
Eligible students must be currently studying a certification, undergraduate or Master's degree in one of the following fields: Commerce, Business, Technology, Finance.
Scholarship Type:
Merit-based.
To meet the eligibility criteria for this grant, candidates must be:
- Currently enrolled in an Australian University or TAFE Course in the field of Commerce, Business, Technology or Finance;
- Currently operating their own business under a registered ABN (Australian Business Number);
- A permanent Australian resident.
- Proof of identification (driver's license, birth certificate)
- Proof of permanent residency within Australia (rent/lease agreement, utility bill, electoral enrolment document)
- Proof of current enrolment status from the registered Australian University or TAFE Course, including the course name and tertiary institution name
- Proof of current study at institution (enrolment registration for classes for the specified semester or term dates)
- Their registered business's ABN
- Contact details, including residential address, email address and phone number
Outcome
All submissions that are received will be reviewed by the Jacaranda Finance Scholarship Committee based on the above selection criteria. A shortlist containing the most well-regarded pitches/responses will be provided to Jacaranda Finance CEO, Daniel Wessels, who will then finalise the responses and select one winning applicant.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome via email once all submissions have been reviewed. The chosen applicant will be notified by phone call, and publicly announced via the Jacaranda Finance website and respective social media channels.
